Area President, Central Texas

Austin, TX


Growing $1 billion plus bank, and is part of Carlile Bancshares, is seeking a community-oriented market President for the Austin, Texas area. This position will oversee four locations in Austin and one in Marble Falls, with over $100 million in assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: management and profitability of area branches, helping identify future branch locations in and around the Austin area, growing the brand and market share through an existing team while building an additional team, and providing leadership, direction and goals for the area team. Job Summary: Responsible for the profitability, administration, daily operation and sales management of multiple branches in a defined geographic area; provides leadership, direction and goals for the area team.


Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management or Finance is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plans for the future growth and development of the lending function in the Central Texas area.
  • Develop strategies to meet Bank goals to grow revenue and effectively mitigate risk.
  • Responsible for the performance and goals for the Central Texas area.
  • Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of branches through analysis of branch activity reports and daily sales results.

Chief Compliance Officer

Denton, TX


JOB SUMMARY: Act as head of the Compliance Department. Direct Bank employees in the implementation of the Bank's compliance function. Administer the compliance program, coordinate and develop plans to implement laws and regulations. Annually, assess the compliance area to ensure that resources are appropriately applied to higher risk areas. Outsource compliance audits through the selection of third party firms. Ensure Bank personnel perform periodic self-audits of respective areas to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Consult with Bank departments regarding the development of policies and procedures for new products and any changes to the same, compliance with any enforcement actions, and corrections of violations. Participate in the Bank's Second Review Committee to ensure that the Bank properly complies with the various fair lending statutes. Oversee the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act Program. Assist the Bank Secrecy Act Officer, upon request by the BSA Officer or direction by the Chief Executive Officer/Board of Directors. Provides training to Bank personnel and the Board of Directors as needed. Participate in Bank committees. Regularly presents compliance update reports to the Board of Directors at official meetings. Duties are performed with little or no direct supervision. Job requires a good knowledge of regulations and the ability to communicate this knowledge. This position will cover both the Texas and Colorado Regions but will be based in Denton, TX.


Education: College degree and regulatory experience preferred. Banking experience specific to compliance may substitute for the aforementioned. Formal training in compliance is required.


Experience: At least 15 years of experience in banking, and a working knowledge of consumer protection regulations.

  • Computer and Equipment Skills – working knowledge with PC-based software, i.e. Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the outsourcing compliance audits.
  • Annually develops a schedule of areas that need to be covered by each review.
  • Ensures that Bank personnel periodically perform self-monitoring audits of their respective areas and report the findings to the Audit Committee.
  • Annually assesses risk in the compliance area to ensure that resources are appropriately applied to higher risk areas.
  • Assists in the development of Bank policies and procedures to ensure policies and procedures comply with consumer and commercial laws, rules and regulations. Coordinates the centralization of all Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that the compliance committee meets to discuss new regulations, significant changes to regulations, and other relevant compliance issues.
  • Assists departments in the implementation of new products to ensure that Bank products are compliant with various consumer and commercial regulations.
  • Assists in the review of marketing materials to ensure that advertisements meet consumer and commercial regulatory guidelines.
  • Assists in disseminating information on regulatory matters.
  • Supervises and assesses the compliance training needs for bank personnel.
  • Participates in the Bank's Second Look Committee meeting to review files for Fair Lending, compliance regulations, and any necessary issues identified.

Job Summary: The primary purpose of the credit analyst role is to support the lending staff with analyzing financial statements and preparing loan presentations. The incumbent is responsible for examining the financial history of an applicant in order to determine creditworthiness.


Job Requirements Include:

  • Capacity to analyze and prioritize information and make appropriate recommendations to the lenders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to customers, superiors, and peers.

  • Remain objective when listening to conflicting perspectives.

  • Performs on-site collateral inspections and in-house appraisal reports.
  • Prepares reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
  • Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activity.
  • Confers with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
  • Completes loan applications, including credit analyses and summaries of loan requests, and submits to loan committees for approval.
  • Generates financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers' financial status.
  • Reviews individual or commercial customer files to identify and selects delinquent accounts for collection.
  • Compares liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
  • Consults with customers to resolve complaints and verifies financial and credit transactions.
