Tom C. Nichols
Chairman of the Board
Tom Nichols currently serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO for Carlile Bancshares, Inc. Tom has acquired, managed and sold banking organizations and other financial services companies for over 35 years. He began his banking career in 1969 as a bank examiner for the FDIC. Since then, his experience includes time with Gerald J. Ford's Ford Bank Group where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer and later, Chairman, President and CEO of Ford's lead bank, First National Bank of Lubbock. In 1996 Nichols formed State National Bancshares, Inc. (SNBI) and chartered its subsidiary, State National Bank, a de novo national banking association originally chartered in Lubbock, TX. Tom holds a BS degree in Economics from Abilene Christian University.

Robert W. Gentry
Senior Chairman
Rob Gentry earned his Finance degree while worked his way through Texas Tech University as a bank teller. Upon graduation he became an Examiner with the U. S. Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, serving from 1970-1974, from 1974 to 1992, Mr. Gentry worked in several positions for the Ford Bank Group including Sr. Vice President/Director FNB- Plainview, organizing President/Director, United National Dallas, President, United National Denton, President/Director, FNB-Borger and Organizing President, Ford Capital of Dallas. In 1992 he left the Ford Bank Group and co-found a Dallas based Investment Management Company serving community banks throughout Texas, including Lake Cities State Bank in Lake Dallas. In 1995 he joined the Board of the Lake Cities State Bank and began orchestrating a new business and management plan for the bank. Through this plan the Lake Cities State Bank added Tony Clark and a new banking team and expanded from a single location to NORTHSTAR's footprint of 10 locations in North Texas at the time the company was merged into Carlile Bancshares in July of 2012. Mr. Gentry now serves as Senior Chairman of NORTHSTAR BANK and Director of Carlile Bancshares.

Tony R. Clark
President / CEO
Tony Clark has worked in banking for 30 years. He and Rob Gentry restructured Lake Cities State Bank in 1999 and renamed it NORTHSTAR BANK OF TEXAS. Collectively this new group built the bank from assets of $39 million and two locations to the largest locally owned bank in Denton and Denton County and one of the largest in the Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex. In addition to leading the bank, Tony has strong participation in community organizations such as United Way, Chamber of Commerce, and various other well-known non-profits.

Don E. Cosby
Carlile Bancshares
Don Cosby is the President and Chief Operating Officer for Carlile Bancshares. Don brings more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services related industries, including his work with Tom Nichols over the last 25 years. He worked at the Ford Bank Group and served as Chief Financial Officer of 23 banks owned by Ford from 1981-1989. In 1989, Don held the title of Chief Fiscal (Financial) Officer at Texas Tech University until 1996 when he teamed up with Tom Nichols to form State National Bank, Inc. (SNBI). He holds a BBA degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University and became a certified public accountant in 1979.

Myra Crownover
Texas State Representative
Myra Crownover has served as a Director for NORTHSTAR BANK since 2001. She is currently serving her fifth term as the State Representative for District 64 in North Texas. Myra has been appointed to several state committees serving in key positions. In addition, she spends numerous hours with various local memberships and community organizations in the Denton County area. Myra joined the Board in 2001.

Kent Key
Kent Key Custom Homes
Kent Key has been in the custom home building business since the early 80's. He is also involved with many other real estate developments and businesses in the North Texas area. Kent joined the NORTHSTAR BANK Board of Directors in 1999 when the bank was restructured and serves on the Board's Executive Committee.

Joseph Mulroy
Retired Businessman
Joe Mulroy has owned and operated several businesses in Denton County for over 31 years. In addition to his business experience, Joe has served on Denton's City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Public Utility Board, and served in numerous capacities on civic and non-profit organizations and boards. Joe joined the Board at NORTHSTAR BANK in 1999, and serves on the Board's Audit Committee.

Patrick O'Brien
Rogers- O’Brien Construction
Pat O'Brien is Chairman of the Board of Rogers-O'Brien Construction. Following college and serving in the Army, Pat joined with Steve Rogers to form the existing company in 1969. He is a member of several industry and community organizations and has served in many leadership roles within the construction industry. In addition, Pat is the recipient of multiple awards, Including QUOIN's "SIR Award", as well as the American Subcontractor Association's "Lifetime Achievement Award". Pat joined the NORTHSTAR BANK Board in 1999.

Robert Sherman
Retired
Bob Sherman retired from the banking industry in Chicago, IL after 30 years of holding key positions within banks and subsidiary companies. Bob joined the NORTHSTAR BANK Board in 1999, and is currently retired. He donates his time to a vast number of civic and non-profit organizations while serving in key leadership roles for them. Bob is a Life Member of the University of North Texas President's Council and serves on the Board's Executive Committee.

Richard Smith
Semi-Retired Businessman
Dick Smith has served on the Board of NORTHSTAR BANK since 1999. After a successful career founding and growing several businesses in the healthcare industry, Dick is semi-retired. He is involved in several business interests as well as enjoying giving back to the Denton community. He currently serves on the Denton Fire Fighters Pension Board and as Chairman of the City of Denton Public Utility Board.

Roy Stewart
Director
Roy has served on the Board since 2006 and also leads the business development efforts in NORTHSTAR's Northeast Tarrant County operations. He previously owned and operated Roy Stewart Homes, Inc. for 34 years. Roy currently serves on the Grapevine City Council (for the past 15 years) and is active in many civic and community organizations.

Robert Widmer
Attorney
Bob Widmer has practiced law since 1982. His area of expertise focuses on Business Planning, Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Business and Corporate Law to name a few. In addition to his law practice, Bob has written a book, served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Texas and has served on many civic and non-profit boards. Bob joined NORTHSTAR BANK's Board in 2007.

Jack Furst
Advisory Board Member
Retired Co-Founder HM Capital Partners
Jack Furst was selected as an Advisory Board Member in 2010 for NORTHSTAR BANK. Jack is a philanthropist and retired co-founder of HM Capital Partners. In addition to his community, civic and church work, Jack has been the force behind The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve for the Boy Scouts that will open in 2013.
